Nice bass trashed by a stupid kid

Unfortunately that kid was me.
I was visiting my parents recently (with my wife and son) and my mom said "hey are you ever going to take that guitar to your house?". Excited I unzipped the gigbag and found my bass from when I was 15. Thought you might enjoy....and yes I am embarrased.:hiding:
Defretted, dehorned (no chance of playing sitting down), Steve Vai handle that if you hold it the neck dives like you are using a metal detector, dremeled inlay, but those emg's were just the right size!

equal parts...that thing was HEAVY!!! and I saw Rainbow's guitar player

Holy Sheep S**t!
Rainbow's guitar player was Ritchie Blackmore, who has almost always played a Strat. What could he possibly have to do with the atrocity you perpetrated on that poor Peavey? (and I don't even like the damn things!) Was this some kind of attempt at a Rick Allen or Heather Mills sig model?

Could be worse. Back in HS (circa 1979) I knew a guy who committed a similar abomination to his pre-CBS Jazz. He cut the headstock so it came to a point, and moved the "G" tuner to the other side so he had a 3+1. Then he cut a slice off the lower body offset. Asked why he did it, he said something along the lines of "because it's mine, and I can do what I want with it".
