If a cluttered desk is the sign of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk a sign of? - Albert Einstein

I read this on the internet - so there!
Scientists discovered that messiness was a sign that you probably have a higher IQ than the average Joe.
A study by the University of Minnesota suggests, that the messy desk of geniuses is actually linked to their intelligence. If you don't spend much time cleaning and organizing everything around you, your mind is
occupied with more important stuff.
Even if things seem scattered everywhere, you know where everything is located and find it in a jiffy. It’s just that messiness and intelligence go hand in hand. It looks like you subconsciously leave things unorganized, because, in a way, it sparks your creativity. Consequently, we all know how creativity is a common trait of genius people.

Except he didn't say that. Or at least he didn't say it until it appeared on an internet meme in the 2000's. It is unsupported, not attributed to him nor included in any official Einstein biography or official quote reference. Like so many internet agenda memes, the quote has been shown to be an amalgamation of similar and synonymic quotes. This one is a reference to the 'as within so without' perspective, of which I happen to agree. Either way, right or wrong, profound or obvious it isn't Einstein. If a cluttered desk is the sign of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk a sign of? - Albert Einstein
Total nods to the pros and semi-pros on TB, but heck to you all. You post nice pretty pics of your spaces. Mine almost never looks like that.
Challenge: Post your real space during work. I dare ya! Here's mine.

Who says they're in mensa? LolOh no, as an obsessively neat and tidy member of Mensa I seem to have single-handedly disproved that theory![]()

Looks really great, but envy makes me evil, so I just say to myself: It must sound awfull with all these windows, stones and no treatment at all.
