Nice starting amp?

I didn't go for the used carvin auction but I found the same one used on guitar centers site for only 30$ more including shipping. I may have to go with that but I have been meaning to check out what people have listed on this site as well. The BR510 looks pretty damn perfect for the price though I still will look around.

If carvins non pro gear doesn't have the best warranty seems like a good reason to just try and get a used one for cheap.

Thanks again for all the helpful feedback everyone! I am too out of it and unfamiliar with the quoting on this site to reply to everyone but I have been trying to consider everyone's input and there is some useful stuff! [insert thumbs up smiley here]

Any thoughts on this peavey head in a combo? Only 200$ but there is no info about it really...

Sadly the listing for that peavey has no info about it and the pics are not close enough to tell. Looks like the 115 model though which I assume is the lower watt one. For the price difference I am having trouble deciding if the Carvin would be more worth it. It would cost 100$ more for the carvin BR510 without a warranty then the peavey with a 2 year warranty. Maybe I should email guitarcenter and as for details about the peavey combo...

Damn looks like the peavey sold already, guess I should just go for the carvin before that sells as well.

So I got my used carvin BR510 today much to my excitement! First impression was damn this thing is big! I was expecting it to be big but it has some serious size to it, but for the size picking it up was a breeze, much lighter then my like 60-70 pound tube amp which I honestly don't mind carrying much either.

Anyways I just turned it on a little bit ago and was happy to hear it sounds great flat which I have heard around the webz. It also seems pretty quiet for an amp, or maybe my guitar amp is just loud ;)

Just wanted to share my excitement, I plan on trying some acoustic and electric guitar out of it later and maybe synth to see how it handles those.
