Nick Movshon!

    Discuss his style, gear, grooves, etc...
    I've mostly seen him with a gibson ripper, with old rusty rounds i think. Also used a mustang with the black keys.
     
  2. He has a Gibson SB-400 that looks sick in some of the live shows with Lee Fields. They're somewhat rare and have some quirks on the bridge, but a pretty sweet pocket tone. The guy can groove.
     
  3. Yes, he plays a Ripper, a mustang, a Gibson sb-400, a precision, usually with old rounds. Usually has that short scale tubby tone, he is a nasty greasy groove player. Funk, Soul, R&B, Afrobeat, hipster funk.

    First with the Mighty Imperials, the Dap Kings, the Menahan Street Band, Lee Fields, Antibalas, Amy Winehouse(Back to Black), the Arcs, etc.

    One of my favorite groove players.
