I've decided to try the Ninomute on my Yamaha SLB300. It will be an attempt to tame the sustain for some of the types of music I play. Don't have it yet, so I'll have to report on its effectiveness after I try it.

But I think it is worth noting the really good customer service I got. I used the web site contact us feature and sent a note asking which of the many models might work best on an EUB. Got a reply today that included a recommendation, and a video of the product in use on a Yamaha SLB300. Then, I got a phone call from Nino Ocampo, the person behind the product, to see if I had other questions. That's a lot of effort in support of a product that only costs $50. Here's the web site:https://www.ninomute.com/

I just got the mute a few days ago. Using it on an NS CRT. Ordered the regular, not the XT. I like it alot. It does what I wanted to achieve and is variable as far as how far you push it down over the strings. Ordered from Gollihur. I think you will dig it.

I received my Ninomute yesterday, and tried it out today. It works just as advertised. On my Yamaha SLB300, it tames the sustain - that's just what I wanted it to do. For my roots/bluegrass/western swing gigs it will make a big difference. Used it pushed all the way on the strings, and touching the top of the bridge; plugged into an AI Coda. I'll use it through my Phil Jones Double Four at a gig on Thursday night; I expect the results will be the same. I'll probably order another as a back up in case something happens to the first one - I like it that much.
