NKD - Kazoos out the wazoo

I used to give all my high school students kazoos during finals week. It caused more consternation than I could have imagined. My principal for a few years loved it but when the new one came in it got me dragged into his office for a long talking-to. It was almost as bad as when I taught the 5th graders how to play spoons and they stole all of the spoons from the cafeteria during lunch hour.

The arctic white for me

There’s no tort!

Clips or it didn’t happen.

Well played. Technically, I did change a detail to match the topic of this thread: it wasn’t kazoos that I gave away on that flight, but slide whistles.

I'm surprised that the applicable airline did not ban you for life!

After they announced on the PA system that anyone with a noisemaker need to stop using it, I did receive a polite threat from a steward, something like, “You’re not giving any more of those away, are you? I noticed that you have a connection with us to Johannesburg, and I’d hate to see you miss that flight.”

This was April Fool’s Day of 2001, just a few months before 9/11, so flying was still pretty relaxed and carefree. Nowadays I would only dream of pulling a stunt like this.
