Double Bass NL-210 vs. M-Line Wizzy

I'm throwing most of my gear out the window of my second story walk-up...

(or maybe selling it)

I'm keeping my 1989 Woods-MI-400 and building up from there...

Could someone weigh in on the NL-210 vs. the new M-Line Wizzy as the more natural sounding?

I've never tried the NL-210, but I love pair of Wizzy-M's. I'm sure the NL-10 is a fine cab 'cause it's EA after all, but I've never been in love w/ the sound of 10's in general. Too cold and brittle IMO. But that's just me. :cool:

I would think the W-M would sound sound warmer and have better lows, especially since the NL-10 are neos.
As for weight the W-M is only about 33 lbs. and the 4ohm thing gets all the good juice out of my Walter Woods.:smug:

Well, yes there are other single cabs that I've tried that sound better for BG (but two W-M's stacked does real well for BG w/o the back breaking). Mostly all much heavier w/ higher power ratings. But for DB I've tried nothing better than the W-M, especially that was as portable. I don't think there are too many 12's out there that are as light or sound as good. I'm sure they are sweet, but those Bergie 12's aren't any lighter.

BTW- the NL-210 is 11 lbs. heavier than the W-M and is rated at 500W, not 200-250. So we're hardly comparing apples to apples. One of the things I really like about he W-M is that it gives my dark sounding DB the highs and mids to cut thru a mix.

Thanks for all of your input...I went with 210, and I'm very happy with it! It's creamery butter for my big bass.

I'd still be curious to hear some more thoughts on the matter...


Does anyone out there know if it would be ok to run a Wizzy (8ohm) WITH the 210?
