it was the second song of a 4 hour night, p-bass with flats. the g string broke at the nut and unravelled in front of my middle finger as I was sliding up the fret board. it sliced the tip to the bone, (still sport the scar) played the entire night bleeding like hell. the only bass I'll put flats on anymore is my fretless.
