Mr Kettle, may I introduce Mr Pot?![]()
FWIW, a beer at 10:30 at a CONVENTION FOR MUSICIANS is not a big deal. To suggest otherwise shows a teeny tiny little worldview.
And, to show such obvious disdain for someone in a forum DESIGNED TO SELL GEAR, seems like poor judgement to me.
While LV might be shooting himself in the foot by not getting KSD if that's what he really wants, I certainly understand not wanting to give money to an a$$. I have, on more than one occassion, spent more for a piece of gear as opposed to giving money to a company I didn't want to deal with.
Did I put them under by doing so? Of course not. But, I could look at myself in the mirror for having a limit. How much is that worth?

I am sorry you had the problem. I often see people with a Beer and they often place it on the counter, on our catalogs and sometimes spills it. Sometimes there's a little beer on the hands as well whne they pick up a Bass.. This is not good for the finish of an electric instrument. I would suggest in the future you finish the Beer b4 asking to try out Basses. Just 10 feet form the KSDs are the other 'real' Smith Basses. Yes, I was in the booth too.. The young man may have even been my son. He was helping throughout the show. BG and I share the booth along with EBS. It's a happy NAMM type family for the last 3 years and we try to look out for each other. It could even have been me that asked if it was your first Beer. I don't want people with 2 or more Beers by 10:30am touching our Basses. Some people come in the booth staggering as well with a Beer in their hand. This becomes a problem. Please understand that you were not singled out. Our Booth is not a Bar.. It is mainly for Business related to our products and demos as we even pay 2k+ for a sound room for you to enjoy your testing time.......
