I know you don't want to spend extra cash, but I'm sure you can find a used DI box on your local CL for relatively cheap. It'd solve your issue
A DI will only send the guitar's signal to the interface. It will bypass any tone or effects produced by the amp. I mention this only because OP seems hellbent on using/ hearing his amp. What would be the point if the amp's sound is not included in the recording?use a direct box. guitar on line in, line out to amp,
Hi, I have a Marshall Code 50 for when I use my guitar and there is no line out for me to plug into my audio interface, there is only a headphone out, phone in, and footswitch. Is there any way around this? Thanks.
I know that, but I want the direct sound and not have to spend anymore money.

People in hell want ice water.I know that, but I want the direct sound and not have to spend anymore money.
I forgot about that part! Been a while since I used that type of set up. But my bass has a active EQ which helps that situation.A DI will only send the guitar's signal to the interface. If it were me, I'd plug directly into the interface and build my amp in the DAW, then use headphones.
This does not solve his problem. This would solve OPs dilemma (no output from the amp, but still keeping it in the signal chain for external monitoring while recording through the interface)
How will this work?I think rohi is speaking of a speaker-level DI. That would work well.
Ok, I concede. You yourself said he might need a different amp. I was just offering an idea. Sounds like someone figured out USB might be a workable optionThe OP wants to be able to use the speaker too.

I'm so used to recording everything with headphones on, it was an auto pilot response. I forgot the bit about wanting speaker on. Carry on everyone!Yeah, this strikes me as a non-solution...but that said, It's the first thing I thought of
Jake, if you PM me your shipping address, I will send you a ProCo DB-1 direct box. It sits between your guitar and your amp (just like the Radial JDI in post #38), and lets you send a copy of the guitar signal to your recorder.Hi, I have a Marshall Code 50 for when I use my guitar and there is no line out for me to plug into my audio interface, there is only a headphone out, phone in, and footswitch.
