No Response from Gallien-Krueger Part Deptarment

You do? Really? Did GK tell you they got the e-mail or are we just making the mistake again of assuming all e-mails get delivered all the time without fail.

E-mail is not a 100% assurance service.

I am not going to say that any form of communication is 100%. Hell, most people you even talk to aren't listening! However it is more likely than not a problem with the people answering the emails, and not the delivery system.

I am 110% a fan of GK and their gear. I've played numerous gigs in the past couple of years with their stuff and its never let me down. Jason and Brian and their repair dept are going above and beyond to help me out with a situation right now.

That being said, I too had to wait a couple of times and send a couple of emails to get responses. I was in no hurry so I just waited it out. It's the holidays and I'm sure they are busy. I have no interest in calling on the phone. You have to have 2 people aligned near a phone at the exact same time, and you still have to write down everything you heard. This is not 1980. I need to have everything discussed written down, otherwise whose to say what really went down? Sure maybe an email gets bounced from time to time, but I think that is rare. For a business to let customer emails get sent to spam filters? Not really acceptable, especially if the initial contact has been made and an email conversation is underway.

Oddly, if the OP had spend 10% of the time he wasted here in the forums bitching about GK on actually calling GK, he likely would have already been helped and his issue resolved.

Bitching? I asked a simple question about their normal response time for emails. They do have the replacement board for $98 but no help on the price since I'm not the original purchaser, even though it's was faulty from the factory (bitching a bit here).

It was nice of Mr. Clark to drop in and provide a phone number, but good customer service extends just a bit deeper than that. Let's wait and see what happens with the POS amp that has already been serviced at least once for a factory defect.

That's about what I expected. Four pages of worship for GK customer service, but now it's back to reality.

Im still waiting...no respons on my emails from GK. Im also waiting for some parts for my Fusion..and even the repairman warned me about GK being very slow when it comes to delivering parts. They even told him that i had broken the law when i brought my Fusion from the US to Norway :(

Hogwash. If you bought it from a US retailer who shipped it to you that might have violated the sales and purchase agreement between that retailer and the company, but by no means is it illegal.

Companies who sell in countries other than their own often set up a service agreement with the distributor for each area. By bypassing that distributor you leave yourself out on a limb if something goes wrong. If you sell an amp to someone who then resells it to a third party, would you get involved if the amp fails?? Of course you wouldn't. It's the same scenario for Odin70

Within one year I had two problems with two different GK products. Bought a MB 212 and a MB 112 that both had issues out of the box. GK ended up sending me a new MB 212 and I ended up fixing the MB 112 myself. As much as I like both amps, I will not be buying a GK product again. When
I wrote Brian that I fixed the MB 112, I even gave him my thoughts of what caused the problem. The ON/OFF button was stuck in the ON position. What I found is the opening in the cabinet was too wide for the metal amp chassis. So if the mounting screws are not tighten one side at a time, the chassis twists putting stress on any component attached to both the chassis and the PCB. Thus making the button stuck. So when I loosened the chassis mounting screws and tightened them one side at a time, there was no twisting of the amp chassis and the on/off button worked as it should. I wrote all this to Brian. Have not heard one word back......

Again I am happy with both amps, I just hope they hold up long term. My guess, the QC on their Chinese made products is not up to par with GK,s US made products.

The TIP50 in the power supply. If we had had a schematic at that stage we might have identified the problem.

At this point, I'm beginning to doubt that - also, IIRC, a fellow countryman of yours was able to obtain the schematic that you claim G-K wouldn't give you - what's up with that???

To be perfectly honest, I think you did something to damage that amp, and was unable to fix it - and have been crying sour grapes towards G-K at any opportunity...
