No safety valve for Ignore Lists

I just got put on someone's Ignore List for a pretty minor first offense mistake regarding who said what. As soon as I realized what I'd done I apologized to him in a post in the same thread. Too late though, I'd already been kill-filed. With the old software he'd still have gotten my posts second hand when someone else quoted me which a kind third party did do in an attempt to convey my apology. With the new site EVERYTHING gets wiped including quoted posts. There's no safety valve for an honest mistake vs. a quick trigger finger anymore.

How the heck do I apologize?

If I understand you correctly, somebody doesn't want to hear one more f**king word from you, but you'd like to keep talking to them?

Ask someone else in the thread to convey your apology, not by quoting you, by typing what you said. You may still be on that person's Ignore List, even after the apology. At some point, you have to just let it go.

Stop being so Canadian. ;)

Does the person who ignored you see this thread? I personally wouldn't ignore anybody so I don't know what happens... However, I would think I have been ignored several times.

If they're are so uptight they ignore you after one comment, do you really care to continue conversing with them anyways?
