Too late!As for the soul patch... don't do it, man. A white guy with a soul patch is SO early 2000s Nu Metal. You don't want that.
Also, I'm a non-white going for that jazz musician look...so I hope to get away with it.

I'm sorry, then... I was assuming your ethnicity. Which seems pretty foolish now (well, anytime one is wrong with their assumptions). Also, I'm a non-white going for that jazz musician look...so I hope to get away with it.
As a thoroughly generic white guy, I don't get away with much of anything except dork. I do that well. My wife is more melanin talented than I am, so our son can do the jazz musician thing. Actually, he is a jazz musician, so it fits. As I recall, it fits for you for the same reason. Given more time practicing and actually working on music, I might be a jazz musician, but it doesn't happen, so I'm not. I do dork well musically, too. No patch for me. So, there you have it, and it's all complete, verified factual truth, just like everything you read on TalkBass.Too late!

I've been in since June, so...

It's a prostate cancer awareness campaign, normally. Though I suppose some folks may not have made the connection, as it's sometimes not well-publicized as such, which is kinda funny, since the whole point of it is that men are often unaware and/or not willing to talk about it, while breast cancer on the women's side (but not exclusively - didja know THAT? Men can get it) is a much more publically discussed disease with lots of awareness. Now, of the two, breast cancer will kill you quicker, on average, but Mr. Zappa was dead two years by the time he was my age.And the point of this is...what?
