Noble DI I to a Wayne Jones powered cab?

I don’t have the Noble, but I have two of the WJ 2x10 powered cabs that I use with several different pres. in fact my main use of the WJ powered cabs is to transparently compare/audition different pres. if the pre sounds good, it will sound good through the WJ! My favorites currently are the mesa subway DI, the dark glass photon, and line6 helix modeling gear. I don’t actually have any tube-based pres, perhaps making my opinion less useful to you.
My main knock on the WJ powered cabs is they are freaking heavy - I want to say mine are 80lb+. At this point they live in my studio and I don’t take them anywhere. They do have wheels and a pull handle, like a roller board suitcase.
the other minor annoyance is that two of them can’t really be stacked effectively vertically, because the control plates are on “top”

The Subway Pre-DI won't have any difficulty driving the cabinet (it has the lave capability to drive just about anything), but some pedal preamps can barely drive -10dBu sensitivity amps.
Check out this thread if you haven’t already, generally and on noble -> WPP210 specifically.
one thing pointed out in the thread is there’s no volume on the cabs and no volume on the noble. All of the pres I use have a controllable level out of the xlr.
I also note by a quick glance at the WJ website that there appears to be a “new” version of these that addresses both of my knocks. If you’re looking at picking up a used one, be mindful of which version you’re getting (if you care).
Or maybe I’ll upgrade to the new version and my V1s will be back on the market. They really do sound great…
