Thay have a gibson non reverse thunderbird.

It says it's an ex Oasis bass, now, i dunno to believe it or not, cos they are one of my fav bands of all time, but even if it wasnt theres...

I like the reverse style, mainly because I have played them for so long, but if someone handed me a non reverse, I would probably get use to it's looks.

Even Chris Squire had a Non Reverse period

The Chris Squire story I read said that he would play what ever Entwistle played

In Entwistle's book he commented on the Non reverse as a great way to **** up a great design (reverse)

Ok.
Now in the mid 90's i actually bought a Non Reverse Epiphone TBird new. It cost appox $600AUD at the time. I sold it a year later so I could buy an amp. I have yet to see one since. It looks just like the Gibson Non Reverse TBirds however it didn't have the wrap-around pickup, no finger rest on the bottom of the body, and i think it had a reverse head stock.

Does anyone know about these?

Yes they were a non reverse in Shape only not in sound, electronics or construction - bolt on maple neck alder body p j pickups

I Love the Non reverse Thunderbirds ! My main bass since '78. Here is a pic of my well worn '69

A couple pics of my '67 I got off ebay a while ago, it was in a bad way, it is mostly sorted out now.

Thanks BD ! At first I was just going to rebuild the body and slap a bolt on neck on it and call it a day, more of a rescue than a restoration. But the father I got into it I knew I wanted to bring it completely back. Once the body was done I sent it off to Michael Dolan for the neck and he did a fantastic job. Right now I am just waiting for a Lull Thunderbird pick up and warmer weather to shot the finish coat. The bridge is my Badbird Bridge "intonation without modification" for vintage Thunderbirds. I also made the Pickguard. The tail piece is a reproduction by drbassman. I am getting antsy and want this bass finished so once the warmer weather hits there should be some progress.

$490 for the four string, $550 for the five.... The MSRP was over a grand.... but then again, the MSRP on my Goth-bird when it came out was $599....
