Noob question about a equalizer pedal!

Low / mid / high aren't precisely defined - it's more of a continuum.

Is it the bass eq pedal? If so, the 50 and 120 are low, the 400, 500, and 800 are mid, and the 4.5k and 10k are high.

Ultimately, though, just use your ears to find what works.
 
I wouldn't bother buying a pedal that 1) you don't know how to use, 2)don't know if you even need, and 3)would use money that would be better spent on a bass or amp. Pedals are a great bunch of toys, but if you don't have a good bass, AND a good amp, you're wasting your money.

Other than the word "toys," I agree with that completely.
