Nordstrand NP4 vs NP4v soundclips?

Hi

I was wondering if anyone has done a direct comparison of these two pickups and has any soundclips? Ive searched around and can't seem to find a direct comparison- just random clips in different circumstances. Its to go into a 79 p bass.

'I don't have any sound clips! But I have had both. I think they are more alike than different I found the NP4V slightly more "Hollow/Woody" sounding than the NP4 and slightly less high end. But not much more than that!

Honestly, in my experience most Nordstrand pickups sound about the same. They are often a dramatic improvement over the stock P pups in many basses but they only differ between each other in subtle ways. They are a good buy, though. If you're looking at buying a set, you'll likely be happy with whichever ones you get.
