Notating ringing, unison pedal notes

This question was somewhat inspired by the intro do Musta Paraati's "Ennustus":

The notes are approximately these:

Which of course could potentially be played as this:

How can I make it clear, in pure standard notation (i.e., no tabs at all) that the part is to be played as below instead, with the ringing and at times unison pedal notes in G?

Thank you!

But what happens when the unison notes are not played simultaneously, but alternate between an open G and a 5th-fret G as above? And how to show that the Gs after non-unison notes are ringing open Gs, not non-ringing 5th-fret Gs?
