What are the notational equivalents of some techniques and effects, such as tremolo (I know it's not related to bass guitar), wah on bass guitar. It doesn't seem to have a notational equivalent to me. only curiosity

There is a convention for notating tremolo of various kinds, involving slashes on the stems.

Though that is not a "hardware" tremolo, but classical the string player finger technique.
Tremolo is sometimes used interchangeably with vibrato.
However, a tremolo is a variation of volume (or amplitude)
Vibrato a variation of pitch (or frequency) - what a guitar 'tremolo' bar does


Typically , when effects is desired it is just written on the page, like so

There is an overdrive command on it, I know it is written like this in the notation, I mentioned the standard writing of the notes, without the command

There's no standard of writing electronic effects on the notes , like there is for tremolo/vibrato

Music Techniques that have been around for more 150 years usually have some notation conventions.
Music Technology that is less than 100 years old has not had time for a convention to evolve.

In sheet music for strings, the tremolo slashes are for the RIGHT hand and indicate that the player should BOW the note in quick back-and-forth repetitions; one slash means twice per note duration, two slashes means four, etc.. Vibrato is for the left hand and is almost always left to the player's discretion.

Agreed. Something like wah would likely just be some text above the bar saying "use wah".
