What's working for you when faced with working out problem frequencies?
Do you have a notch filter or a mid sweep? Do you find much difference in the two? I'm thinking a notch filter has a more narrow focus, but not real sure, haven't had much experience with one on bass, just acoustic guitar a little.
Do you use a parametric or semi parametric eq?
Or is a graphic eq doing the job well enough for you?
Maybe combining graphic and parametric?
I was using an empress paraeq but the last year or so I've been using the tech 21 q strip which doesn't have as much precision as the empress but with the hpf it seems takes care of a few problem spots...seems to be doing a good job and it makes a good DI on top of it.
Just curious what others are doing.
