Do the Wikipedia random thing. The first result is your band name. I just tried it - it gave me "Stripe" the first time and "Crowbar Railway Station" the second .

doesn't really paint an image in my head. I mean, I've got a band called Jimmy G and The Chocolate Factory; there's some imagery that the name provides. "Nothing to do here"? Sounds like nothing to see there.

I heard a good way to come up with a band name is to take the color of your pants and what you had for breakfast. Thats one way...

"The Blue Breakfast Burritos"... hmm... maybe

Every time I think of a cool band name, I google it to see if someone else is using it. Invariably, it's already in use. I even tried some obscure (to the music world) references to science and math like "Schroedinger's Cat" and "Avogadro's Number". I've seen bands from one side of the country threaten to sue others on the other for infringement, even though both are working only locally or regionally at best. C'mon, you're a local cover band! Live and let live!
Then there are some hackneyed names that are used by so many bands that you have no way of knowing who will show up when you see it on the marquee. Sometimes two bands by the same name playing in the same town on a given night. This was more prevalent before the internet. Some examples from this area were variants of "Cimarron" (invariably a country rock band) or "Excalibur" (stadium rock)

I had a record from a (Dutch?) band that named its album:

"In the Dutch Mountains".

I thought that was pretty funny, and later when I visited Holland I found it even more funny.

Name yourselves "Het Nederlander Mountaineers".
