So, what is (Billy Cox ?) using there. It would look to be:
4 Fender somethings (bassman's, showmans ... ??) driving the cab stack next to the heads. But there are also two other Fender guitar amps (top one looks to be maybe a Dual Showman Reverb head). What cabs are those. They don't look like anything I've ever seen.

The setup is explained here:
The Fender 400-PS FAQ
A lot of bassist back in the day (60's) only carried one bass, and played it the whole night. It wasn't really until the 70's that you really saw bassists with more than they walked on stage with. Think about it...how many electrics many players had on hand. It didn't matter, from Jazz to Rock, and they were darn glad to have a decent bass!
could those 2 heads drive all those cabs??? or are there spares on stage

ooooh, how I miss the late 60's and 70's and those massive rigs.
I think nowhere was claimed the rig has 400PS's in it. The link was about explaining supposed benefits of a rig where several amps drive several speaker cabs vs. rig where one high-power amp drives a single speaker cab. Something remotedly related to how 400PS works.
Note post 34. That was what was claimed, just clarifying, I rspectfully submit.![]()
