So some of you may remember...a few weeks back I was considering a downsizing of my board in order to simplify my life...lol well that DIDN'T happen!!!!

Let me tell you why!

my guitar decided he wasn't happy with his "Sound".....normally he plays a Mesa Triple Rectifier...but he recently added a Marshall JCM to the mix and either blends the heads or toggles back and forth....

currently i'm playing through a Mesa M6 Carbine into either 4x10 road ready or 2x12 road ready
but I also split my signal into a Blackheart Hothead 100 as I double as a rhythm guitar during solos

the band is sort of a progressive stoner kinda thing...Think early Rush meets Sabbath

here is a rough experimental recording sans vocal of a tune we are working on to give you an idea (for those of you that have the stomach to get all the way through it check out the changes around the 5:30 mark to the end)

so I recently started experimenting with amp style boxes for a different tonal palette....to compliment both the Marshall and the Mesa triple rectifier...

the above board is the end product...

still playing with order.....but I decided to open this up to input from the board

so.....

GO!!!!

I definitely think the Micro POG as a second channel would be cool while still maintaining soem dry signal, make it more like a heavy guitar/octave distortion. I see you have a lot of preamps, maybe use the lesser lows retention fuzz in the "guitar channel"

So, like maybe:

Channel A: POG (Up oct + Dry) > Modulation > Musket > Green or Orange

Channel B: Sparkle > BB > Rails > RB

I definitely see more than enough pedals on there to make it really cool.

I think I would put all the modulation in the blender to start. Experiment with the order of dirt pedals, gain stacking with the tone shapers.
Use the MicroPog for octave up guitarish tones with some fuzz. I'd probably feed the entire signal chain into the Rusty Box for overall pre amp tone shaping.
I'm not sure what a few of your pedals are as I would need a close up picture of your board/pedals to get a better idea of a signal chain order.

Haha Ive considered downsizing my board a number of times. All I end up doing is removing like one pedal. But it always gets replaced with something else eventually anyway! haha. So now, I just keep what I got and swap things out every now and then. I figured, why not enjoy the big board while I can. Not that I think itll ever happen, but if our band ever makes it big, I will not be bringing that big of a board on tour. Just doesnt work very well from what I hear. The smaller the better.

Rush meets Sabbath huh?? VERY cool! I wanna hear it!

What exactly are you wanting to riff about?? Like, I get what youre saying here, but I dont see a query, know what I mean? Are you asking for some advice on more pedals to get?? I would get a good synth like the EXH or something. Ive been sorta GASn for one myself since I learned how to play Tom Sawyer hehe ;)

clip posted above!

anyway actually looking for more of an order suggestion...really...more of a "if you were me" sort of query

after experimenting with a ton of pedals I have decided on the pedals posted above....

and i'm still playing and experimenting with order...just looking for a fresh viewpoint....
