New Precision Bass Day, that is. ;) Actually, more like past two or three days, but who's counting?
Anyway, I am in P bass heaven right now.
I ordered a Vintage White Squier Matt Freeman, and it came in today. What can I say about this bass that hasn't been said? Hands down, one of the best Precision basses you can get, regardless of price.
Holy Crap, this thing is sweet. :woot:
Two or three days before, I was trying out some Fenders Ps in a local shop. They had an Am Std., a Dee Dee Ramone, and a sunburst MIM standard.
I took home the MIM std., and not even primarily because of the price. I'm wondering if Fender has somehow tweaked the MIM standards, because this one, and a couple more new MIM Precisions I've played (all 2015 build), have just sounded phenomenal. Deep, and rich, with excellent resonance. MIM std. P basses, in my experience, have tended to be somewhat harsh, and nasally. Not this one!
The Am Standard I tried was just "meh", and honestly, I thought the Ramone bass was nothing special at all. Sounded kind of blah, and the knobs were about to fall off.

Anyway just basking in the "creamy smoothness" of two killer Ps! :bassist:  20151001_014847.jpg

You do realize of course that if you don't put a tort guard on that burst one within the next 72 hours your counterpart from a parallel universe will tear a Hole in the space time continuum and take it back with him, right? I just figured I would say it before the tort police showed up.

Sweet pair! Rosewood and maple. Burst and white. Looks like you have all your (P) basses covered.
