To make fully use of the GT1B you might want to read the manual, but more importantly the 'parameter guide' (the link says manual but it links to the parameter guide):

Most tricks with Boss devices have to do with 'assignments' imo. On page 18 of this manual assignments are explained the 'Boss way'.

There is also a Boss GT1B thread on this forum, but I could not find it with search...

I have one myself. I like it a lot, but I’m still pretty clumsy when it comes to effects. @BEADist has had the best advice so far. I went back into to my manual too!
