Tempted but, are there any demos of the Halberd? There’s a ton of youtube videos on guitar.. only.
How similar would this be to something like the Damnation mbd-2?

I keep meaning to do a little demo of the Halberd but keep getting distracted, it's an incredible pedal though.
I've never tried the MBD2 but from what I've heard they seem pretty different although probably have a little overlap on some of the tones. The Halberd can give you a really thick driven tone, especially with the 3rd voicing and depth cranked but never really sounds unusable or too muddy.

Absolutely love this pedal, don't get me wrong I think the Longsword is excellent too but the Halberd is by far my favourite drive tone at the moment.
I actually think if I could do a straight swap I'd replace my Longsword with a second Halberd. One with a thick fuzzy drive and one with a lighter clanky drive.
The one thing that could make it better is a blend similar to the Lusithand Ground n pound, even then it doesn't really need it.

Ok, I just got ahold of one. I still have to try it with a full on amp but first impressions are great! So much I'm thinking I may need to further explore the EAE catalog..
