NPD: Joyo double thruster

Bought it earlier in the week to try out and fell in love with it once I got it dialed into my basses and amp (Ampeg RB115 with SWR 1x15 cab), I have always had issues with my low b string on my 5 string bass sounding not very good but with gain boost off it seems to tighten up that low b string, as for my sadowsky it tightens that up too, only time I use gain boost to add more low end is with my solar AB2.4AN as that is a pretty bright sounding bass. I play in a sepultura cover band and this pedal seemed to fit right in with the rest of the band and it is a nice alternative to the more expensive darkglass pedals as a B3K is a $450 pedal here in NZ.

My thoughts on another DG clone that you might like to stack after your joyo for those occasional moments the guitars drop back in the mix.
I'm a BIG fan of Sepultura, just sharing the love.
I had considered the demonfx pedals from aliexpress till I saw the joyo double thruster and monomyth advertised here in NZ which means if anything goes bad I can take it back for a replacement. But yes something like an alpha omega clone stacked with the joyo would be an awesome mix. I have heard a b7k and alpha omega stacked as a local death metal band uses that combo on his bass rig and it is brutal, check out parasitic infestation on you tube and you can hear that bass tone.

Listening to PI now, slammin.

You can set the AO mix really low so the primary tone is your joyo coming through prior, with just a touch more coming from the AO. At a mix level like that you can be more heavy handed with the drive amount on the AO than you would if it was your only pedal.

Glad you liked parasitic infestation I have seen them live a couple of times and they are awesome live let me know if you want some more NZ metal bands to check out. I also get what you mean by blending in the two pedals I run an ampeg rocket bass 115 with a 1x15 SWR workingman's cab to get full wattage but I also run the SGT circuit with the joyo and have the grit at close to 75% and level on full so it is definitely getting a nice growl going with the Joyo and SGT running together and it just seems to fit in nicely with the band mix I will look into getting the demonFX AO copy to try with the double thruster later down the track as I am trying to save for either a 2x10 or 4x10 to use with my amp
