NPD Southampton Ictineo

Def great with an all tube head. It pushes it in just the right way. I haven't tried just straight driving my tubes with it. But set at a regular type setting, it fed my head a really nice fullness with some shine.

You have the Electric right? I'm sure that pushes it nicely? I love it through the Meatsmoke. Pushes the tubes into sweet harmonic breakup.

The Kalaloch is a cleaner platform and the Ictineo imparts it's full potential as a clean preamp.

And there we have it! Well done. We'll get you an Imposter when they're ready. Are you cool with us throwing this on our site?

Thanks!
Of course! Do whatever you like with it, for the record I have been using the Ictineo at gigs for the last two weeks and am finding it to be a very useful tone shaping tool!

If you use the sub switch and send it through a tube preamp/amp, you can get amazing low end crazyness in your resulting distortion. This thing can be THE boost for a tube amp.

hmmmm......would my ValveCaster be better after the Ictineo or before (like I have it now)? Well, I guess I'm just going to have to try it, eh?

Glad to hear the demo is useful! This is my first Southampton pedal and I am really impressed, looking forward to checking out some more! For live use I am running the Ictineo last in my chain, I started off thinking it would function as a boost or second channel for my lower output passive basses but it has quickly progressed to an "always on" for me.
