Double Bass NS Designs EU5 vs US5 - any difference?

I'm looking to get the EU5 and would like some feedback on any noticeable differences between the EU5 and the US5.

As far as I know the US5 is an electric bass guitar Invalid Link Removed , the EU5 is an electric upright http://thinkns.com/instruments/eubass.php - yes, quiet a little noticeable difference.

The EU5 is made in Europe, it used to be made here in the US 7 or so years ago. I'm asking if players of both versions notice much difference between the Euro version and the original US version.
