Double Bass NS WAV - what's your setup?

Mine's a WAV4, but I run it through a Radial Bassbone OD into a BG250/208. There's an XLR out for patching into the PA, if more sound's needed. If I bypass the bass amp and go straight from the OD to hi-fi speakers, I really do get the "my bass, just louder" effect.
All you actually need, though, is a high-impedance buffer before feeding it into an amp - 10M seems to be the general preference.

A Clevinger with a homemade piezo disk pickups under the bridge feet and a 10 MegOhms impedance buffer. For an EUB you might want a cab with a bit more low end than for an acoustic DB. A 12" is fine, 10" can work, but better don't get something smaller unless you have a special cab with a strong low frequency range.
I've got a Wav4 with Obligato's that I mostly amplify with HPF into a Eden wt300 and a DIY 2*12+5 cab that's designed for Double bass (mainly for a flatter and less prominent deep bass content and flat mids). The most specific change that I made is that I removed the Piëzo's after they broke down and replaced them with a lifeline. The Lifeline sounded to dark and muddy on my normal UB, but it succesfully acoustifies the Wav somewhat.
I use the wav in lots of different situations and rehearsals where I don't want to take the doghouse with me. It gets played on lots of different amps. Quite often on a ampeg with a big 15"cab. My main tool for coping with this is the fdeck hpf. I do also own a older model fishman platinum pro. That also works pretty good for fighting different amps and rooms.

Thanks for all the replies. Think i will check out an Fdeck HPF. I am new to this forum... been on the electric bass for several years.... and it looks like that keeps coming up. Thanks low enders.
I also use a Radial Bassbone OD, I wanted a two channel pre with the 10meg ohm and this was one of the first that I found. The high z input makes a huge difference.
