NSD(new strap day!) - Pinegrove Leather

I never post these kind of things but I just received a lovely strap that I am (bizarrely) excited about!
This is a 4" wide "ostrich/relic" finished padded, smooth backed black leather strap from Pinegrove Leather in Yorkshire, England. They are (currently) a 3 person shop owned and operated by Rod Boyes. They make several different designs and also offer occasionally different leather than is listed on their site, depending on availability. A smooth back strap is not standard for them but Rod was great to deal with and accommodated my request. The strap is well padded and supper comfy, also cat approved! It also was a very good price for leather work of this quality. It was in my hands, from England to New York, about a week and a half after I ordered it.
I am posting this because it it important to support small local (and not so local) businesses.
They also make harmonica cases and other stuff. All hand made to order.

Thanks for the heads up on this strap manufacturer, I'm in the market for one. Love me some Ethos but they're having issues lately.

My experience was really good. If you want a color that you see on one sample but isn't listed on another model just ask and Rod will do it.

Chiming in as I got a strap from them a couple of months ago, and will be ordering another one this week. Amazing strap. They've been closed for a bit while they moved to their new shop, and are reopening on Monday. I was immediately impressed with the one that I got.

Looks like some serious padding which is not a bad thing when it comes to your shoulder and back by any means.

They've reopened today...just ordered two more! I have the non padded 3" strap, and it's incredibly comfortable, even with a couple of my heavier basses.

Old thread but I'm looking at these. Can't decide between the 76mm and 100mm. I have one 4" strap and it's a little too wide, but it does make basses feel lighter. Are the 76mm ones enough?
