NSD! New Strap Day!

Just got a pair of custom made straps from Artifact Handmade Wares and one was carefully selected to fit my Warwick Corvette $$ in red oil.

I've had a hard time finding just the right strap for this bass, and started out by having a black cotton 3" wide Levy's strap. The feel was great, but the look was just not quite as in-you-face as this beast of a bass demanded. Scanning a number of different strap maker's sites, I just was not quite captured until I saw a 2" wide pattern at Artifact Handmade on Etsy. Wow, the colors and patter looked great. But this is one of my heavy basses, and I needed more comfort. I contacted Stephanie, and asked if she could make a custom 3" wide version of the strap by starting out with a duplicate of the strap I had. To my delight, she was eager to make a custom model, and very patient as I spelled out exactly what I wanted.

Something around 2 weeks later, I have an amazing looking, supremely soft and comfortable custom strap for my Red bass. I think the fabric patter looks even better with an extra inch of width to show off the images.

See what you think...

If you have a hankering for a custom strap, I can strongly endorse Stephanie at artifacthandmade.etsy.com. Invalid Link Removed She's great to work with, and produced one of the straps of my dreams.
