It's all @Eddie LeBlanc 's fault! (good thing) My Sawtooth Sea Green P style bass arrived today. My first 'Sea Green' pastel color bass and first bass from Sawtooth guitars who also make the Sawtooth Rudy Sarzo Signature ABG. Ordered from JC Penney of all places I'm impressed for $149 and free shipping. Fit and finish is quite good. No visible drips or runs or blemishes. Neck is dead flat. No sharp fret ends. Back of neck is smooth satin finish. Body is Gloss. No hum. Pups are decent. Holds tune. Came with decent padded bag (not the usual 'dust cover' type bag), strap, tuner, cord and picks additional info
Looks plenty good to me. Thanks for posting multiple pics...I have blocked and bound neck that needs a body in that color.
I assume MIC, but you know what happens when you assume. https://www.sawtoothworld.com/ mailing address: Sawtooth Musical Instruments Inc. 810 Lawrence Dr., Ste. 128 Newbury Park, CA 91320-6624
@B-Mac - thank you for the detailed post. I just found this brand and came to TB to see what the collective was saying. You may not be the only owner here but your Sawtooth posts fill the first page of search results . what is your impression a year+ later? I know you have an epic collection. Does it get any play time? Would you recommend the brand? Thanks in advance.
Pretty nice, only $150 at Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Sawtooth-ST-...=2941120011&s=musical-instruments&sr=1-1&th=1 If I didn't already have a P...
It's a surprising lower tier inexpensive bass. I'd put it above SX. I haven't had to change a thing on it. The pups are decent, certainly not the best, but definitely decent. For the price I paid I am pleased. I'd be pleased at double or even triple the price I paid. Same with the tuners. Decent, not the best, but decent and hold tune. Sawtooth's other offerings are definitely more expensive. I haven't had any experience with their other offerings though I am tempted by the Rudy Sarzo ABG. I have yet to see any other TB-er comment on owning/playing one.
