NTTBD: MIM P

Well, it's that time of year again. Time for my New Tax Time Bass Day!!

Went a little weird for me this year. Last week I ordered a MIM Blacktop Precision, and when it showed up I was completely let down. Just didn't like anything about it. It felt.. Cheap. Sorry if this offends anyone who owns one, but it just wasn't the bass for me.

So back it went. Thankfully I purchased it through Amazon Prime, so returning it was pretty painless.

So when Amazon credited me for the Blacktop, I ordered a MIM Standard, Lake Placid/maple fretboard.

I haven't played a MIM P in awhile, but I'm really loving it. Feels good and solid, sounds great and has the P neck I've grown to love.

I know, I know. No pics, no bass. I'll post some in a bit, can't stop playing it for now!!

Yeah, the only thing I'm not looking forward to is having to take it apart to get the plastic off the pickguard.

Sounds and plays great (except for the Stock Fender strings which I don't like). I'll do a complete setup tomorrow when I have more free time. I'll be taking lots of pics during the process.

Only played it for a few minutes, but it's a keeper. Totally different feeling than I got from the Blacktop.
