Nudists! Any nudists here?

The Swiss have a different take on nudity than I was accustomed to in North America. There are lots of spas here where nobody wears anything. They're not deemed as nudist, it's just the way it is.

Every beach in Europe permits topless women. It's no big deal.
People are more uncomfortable with nudity in North America than over here.

(sadly Scotland is def. not included in this Europe :bawl: )

I went to this pagan/wiccan 5 day festival in upstate NY called starwood about 3 years in a row when I started dating the girl I'm about to marry. It's not nudist, but it's clothing optional, and a good % of people walk around with nothing on. I was nervous about being there, and after the first 15 minutes I thought nothing of it. As someone already stated, it's not about being sexy (it seemed there was nothing sexual about it at all), it's about being natural. Women are a lot sexier in clothes.

As fer me, first year I wore clothes the entire time. 2nd year the men's showers busted while I was all soaped up, and I had to walk to the coed showers and hop in an outdoor community shower where lots of guys and girls share shower heads. In all honesty I was real scared, but did it with no exciting incidents, and felt liberated after that. I didn't run around naked, but I became comfortable enough to take part in a couple of the events there that required nudity. It was an awesome freeing experience, and there was nothing sexual about it. At all.

Not sure how I'd feel if I were to go there again.

interesting idea. i was raised with a great deal of shame, so id go as far as playing in my britches, but id do that whether it was a nudist thing or not.

im repressed, im well aware. im surprisingly ok with that.

and i agree with the statement before, women are typically more attractive in clothes. i think it was manswers (i know.. not a credible source of information) that said theres a ratio of skin to clothes that is most attractive because it goesnt give too much away. lets us guys wonder, but gives us enough to draw from.

I have no problems with being nude in front of others, or with others being nude in front of me, be them beautiful or not.

I am not a perfect physical specimen, and I don't expect that from others.

Well, to be honest I may feel a little apprehensive but I would give it a shot nonetheless if I were attending the event as a participant - you know, just a one guy in a crowd. But my thing is that I'll be kinda up in front of everybody. You know how gigs are, folks will tend to watch the band and focus on them a bit. I'm not sure how comfortable I'd be in that sort of situation. That plus I like to sort of move around a bit - hop around, etc. Not sure how the uhhh..."equipment" is going to handle that sorta thing :)

Play this:

That'd be awesome! You wouldn't even need a strap! If you do any ZZ Top songs you could spin that bass really good! Then again, friction could be a problem..........

My bass teacher told me a story about a gig at a nudist colony he had in the early '70s. Everyone was really open about, Uh, stuff; but when he accidentally went to the women's bathroom, they almost kicked him out for invading their privacy.

Well, the Mankini would look out of place I suspect, I'd think about getting a couple of large Fig Leaves and thread them on elastic, one front and one back. And careful your G string doesn't break and wrap itself round your capstan

Go to Gunnison Beach at Sandy Hook, you'll get an Idea of the crowd you'll be playing for...

:hiding:

My ex's parents were nudists. I've only seen them in clothes and would probably need to rub my eyes with Comet cleanser to wipe-out the image of them nude.
