NV610 vs. DB810

Anyone played both of these? MF sent me a coupon for 20% off plus free shipping which would make them roughly the same cost. Would the DB be more versitile or work as well with tube heads? I know there is the proted vs. sealed difference, but they are both high quality large 10" cabs with a vintage vibe, so I don't think a comparison is totally crazy.

I've played the NV610 and the DB410, and would pick the NV of those two, but I'm thinking the DB810 is a whole different animal...

Which one would you pick?

Ultimately it would be cool to end up with the NV610+NV215 or the DB810+DB412 for the ultimate stupid big rig (well not next to the 12-12 rig of doom I already have, but hey, who's counting..)

I contemplated these two cabinets for a while when I was shopping to replace my 810E. When it came down to it, I couldn't justify the extra cost for the Aguilar, I was happy with the quality/sound of my Bergantino HT310, and it appeared that Bergantino had the better reputation. Of course, you have a coupon...so the cost thing goes out the window. Having had the Bergantino for 5 months now, I can't imagine it would ever disappoint - not sure if you could make as bold a statement with the Aguilar.

Aguilar and Bergantino have 2 different philosophies of how bass should sound. It depends on which way you lean. I had a pr of Bergi 112's and sold them like a dumb @ss. I've played some Agi's and loved them as well but they are a different sound. When you're paying this kinda of money, only YOU can decide on what you want to live with. Both are great cabs.

Bergi and Aguilar both make top of the line cabs. They both have their own Ideas of how bass should sound. The both believe that bass cab is a SOUND PRODUCER and not a Reproducer like a studio monitor. You can see from my signature where I stand on that matter. Any how, whichever you buy is going to be a substantial part of your sound. You've got to play these cabs and decide for yourself.
