Can any of my NYC homebodies recommend some good stores or pawn shops for used basses? I always hit Rudy's, East Village and Matt Umanov. Where else?

Rivington is a cool place to swing into occasionally. However, they are very expensive and have small selection, especially bass stuff. The few times I've wanted to buy something in that store, the items "weren't for sale..." despite the overpriced tag on them. So I gave up on them.

Yep, but most are in areas you probably don't want to go.

Yes, lovely little shop. It moved to the other side of the Chelsea Hotel entrance.
Not usually many low priced used instruments, but always something great to get your vintage GAS up.
