OB Preamp replacement for Sadowsky? Any recomendations?

    Hi fellow TBers,

    I recently bought a M5-24 and am really not liking the lack of mid controls and boost only of the sadowsky preamp. Has anyone updated their bass with something else which they found to be better? I'm happy with the pick ups just not the preamp.

    Ive been looking at a GlockenKlang OB 3 and a Audere Classic 4 Band but have not had the chance to hear them. Has anyone tried these? and are they any good? Is there something else I should check out?

    Any advice or recomendations would be greatly appricated.

    I think I would just sell the bass and buy something else. Taking the Sadowsky preamp out and installing something else is likened to putting a Porsche motor in a Ferrari. Sure, it may run well and be fast, but it sure won't sound like a Ferrari anymore.
