Bob Weston is the chunky bass player for the Albini band, Shellac. Shellac are 50% AC/DC, 25% Slint and 25% Big Black. The main focus of the band is to rock your socks off. And Bob's repetetive, chest pounding lines certainly get the job done in the bass department. He also has a tone to die for, and Albini gives him alot of room for his riffs. Shellac are definatley a effecient display of the power of bass.

Songs to download to get an idea of the awsomness of Bob Weston:

Shellac - Song of the Minerals
    Shellac - The Admiral
Shellac - Watch Song (LONG BASS SOLO :D)
    Shellac - Canaveral
    Shellac - Wingwalker

He also does a great job on the later Volcano Suns stuff (e.g., Thing of Beauty). Right now, he's the unofficial fourth member of Mission of Burma, taking on Martin Swope's tape manipulation duties.
