I want to upgrade my Fender Jazz Bass Aerodyne with "ObsidianWire Traditional Vintage
For Jazz Bass". Will it work? I ask, because my bass have a PJ configuration.I didn't find any information about it.
Week ago emailed to ObsidianWire, they didn't answer me...

I'm going to say NO. The Obsidian unit is intended to be used on a standard J-bass with the metal control plate. The Aerodynes have controls mounted from the back in the body; this requires pots with a longer shaft.

My aerodyne has standart control plate, I rather talk about the pinoutLink Removed

If the knob spacing is the same as a standard jazz bass, it will work. Precision pickup or Jazz pickup doesn't matter in this case.

I recently put the Obsidian Jazz kit into my P/J Players Jaguar with the Jazz control plate. It works perfectly, but I just invested in EMG Geezer Butler P/J pickups. I'm going to sell the practically new Obsidian kit since the EMGs come with their own solderless wiring harness. PM me if you're interested.
