OC-2 Tracking, with clips.

The OC-2 has been known to glitch or not track well, so I decided to just prove that it's all in the fingers. No tricks, no compressors.

I've been around the block , so i'll make this short. Just posting to prove your gear is nothing compared to you as a human and that the woodshed will always make you better. These clips go all the way down to open A in standard tuning.

Here are clips of me playing the OC-2 all synth, finger style through first generation VT bass and ancient Apogee jam. Nothing else. Nuff said.

While I 100% agree that you can do this with most basses, some do have an issue. If an active bass has a HPF built in, tuned to about 60hz (like EBMM 3 band) then you will struggle with some of the lower notes, no matter how hard you try.

I’ve had issues but also figured out the way around them. First was finding out certain OC-2’s NEED 12v. I didn’t remember how to tell (google it) but once I did that tracking improved and headroom improved as well.

Second, active or high output basses will cause it to distort and it doesn’t sound good at all. They will also not allow it to track extended notes properly. So with my higher output basses I play softly and try to stay away from long drawn out notes.

With a passive lower output bass like my Sire V7, and Star Bass, it tracks almost perfectly all the way up and down the neck. I can get it to glitch if I want to but clean playing and extended time with the pedal you figure out all the kinks.

Don’t think I’ll ever sell mine because there is just nothing out there like it and it sounds so so delicious
