OCD love/hate

I like the OCD and have owned several Fulltone products, but I don't care for Michael Fullers attitude.

That said, I still have and use a Catalyst for Bass VI/Baritone.

EDIT: Pretty sure I need an Oh See Demon.

I tried both the OCD and the OSD, very natural dynamic response which I loved compared to any tube screamer clone. The OCD cut to much lows for me when engaged. I wasn't using tons of gain and you get more lowend back as you increase the gain. The OSD is a nice upgrade for bass, I found that it shaves just a hair bit of my low fundamental off of my bass. I thought about putting it in a smaller enclosure but I just got a B3k and I the clean blend and the eq of that will end up kicking my OSD to the classifieds

Some pedals just can't handle certain input types, like how much signal your tonebone was pushing. Glad it's working out better for you!

Thanks man, i hope to upgrade to a demon king at some point. Speaking of which, have you used any of your pedals on fender Rhodes? A friend of mine is thinking about a new fuzz and i was thinking a grey stache would be interesting and bass friendliness sounds like a good idea.

Oh man I want an OSD in this enclosure...

But with feedback or dual drive mod?

There's only 1 of this box left. Etched boxes have the LEDs and FSs pre-drilled...plus trying to step on two separate FSs on a small box is pretty tough, unless you have prehensile toes. We can hook up feedback via a toggle though!

Aloha y'all... it's three weeks later and I got some news:

I got that Joyo Ultimate Drive pedal and it's excellent. I primarily use it as a gain booster to get the sound of tubes just starting to break up, but it does full-on crunch and distortion just wonderfully without changing my tone. It does indeed have the sounds that drew me to the OCD in the BassTheWorld demo...a clear overdrive with a strong, beefy midrange. The unit's graphic is nice, and the price is awesome. Downside: being a cheap Chinese knockoff, it came in a box with lots of hot graphic font declaring the contents: "PEDAL" :)

I had been using an Ibanez PD-7 for overdrive/distortion, and thought I liked it because it had an EQ to put lows back in that got lost in the circuitry; turns out that's just making low noise that wasn't there in the original tone. It still has it's place as a fuzz box paired with an octaver to make a synth loop, but I can't see myself using it as a standalone overdrive again.
