OCD & searching for something!

I can't just let it go when something is missing, no matter how trivial!

I started re-organizing my accessories today, strings, tuners, tools, etc..

The little plastic shoe boxes I put things in have covers, somewhere. I do not know their location.

It's driven me mad all afternoon.

It's always in the last place you think to look. I mean, if you have 10 potential places to look, most likely it's in the 10th place you explore.

If you ever do find them, put the lid under the box whenever it is not on the top of the box.
This will prevent future loss.

I stashed them, specifically so they wouldn't get in the way of sliding the boxes in and out of the closet.

1) Make more outta cardboard.
2) Buy new containers (my preferred option.)

My problem isn't that I need them, it's the fact that I don't know where they are.

I had intended on doing that, but instead I explored every crevice of the closet where I started.
After looking in all the other closets, it occurred to me that I have some other half-filled boxes in my bedroom & Voila, there the covers/tops were.

I once looked high & low for the AV/RCA connector for my PS3. I finally gave up & bought a new one for about $4. I think it was about 9 months to a year later I found the original one, DOH!

Well, through the course of destroying the closet looking for them, I realize I need to do some work. These closets aren't going to re-organize themselves.
I've got too many half empty boxes that could be merged & then I could ditch some of those boxes (the cardboard ones).

One of them has a nice lid that has built-in clips to hold it on. My strings are going in there.
