I remember them from just after I started playing bass, circa '77. They were made in Vancouver and were fairly expensive for the time (at least they seemed expensive to a 13 year old...), like around $1200. One of my friends has a custom Odyssey 6 string bass, tuned and spaced like a guitar, fretted up to the 12th fret and fretless above. It's odd...
I believe they were mainly made by Attila, who eventually made Ayotte drums and died in a tragic shop accident around '87.
No idea what kind of money they'd be worth, though I can't imagine there's a whole lot of demand for them. I don't think they were around for too long, maybe 5 years or so.
