Off-set FB radius idea...

So I was thinking about ergonomic neck profiles, and had an idea. The high point on practically all fingerboards, is along the centerline. What do you think about putting the peak along the bass or treble side of the fingerboard, and then sloping down? Would that create any stability issues? Would you say there is some complimentary interplay between the neck profile and the fingerboard radius?

I have a bass I'm working on, with the fingerboard abnormally high off of the body. I am considering making it fretless and ergonomic neck profile, with a radius similar to that of a classical instrument, and experimenting with this idea. Was wanting input before I commit to the idea.

In theory I would say you want the center of the radius to run from the bass side at the nut and then drop to the treble side following the rough line your fingers would take if playing up a long scale all the way up the neck.

I've obviously never had a chance to play something like that but it would be my first though.

Could this be as easy as twisting the body in the opposite direction? After all, twisting the neck down relative to the body is the same as twisting the body the other way relative to the neck. This wouldn't address the neck profile, just reduce the bend in the fretting hand wrist and increasing the bend in the plucking hand wrist.

Could you do a quick and dirty test with a bolt-on neck by shimming the E side of the pocket? Obviously, I wouldn't leave this for long as it may induce a twist to the neck.
