Yeah, my first thought as well. Nice looking basses and the pickguards do nothing for them.I like some of the finishes, but the pickguards? No.

Yeah, there’s one I kind of like, but the pickguard ruined it. Would it be simple to take the pic guard off?Yeah, my first thought as well. Nice looking basses and the pickguards do nothing for them.
Link?No thanks after listening to the company’s owner’s rants.
Trust me when I say you should look into them before buying.

Seriously, if you can’t provide links, Scott, could you please tell us what he said otherwise it’s just this vague assurance that he’s awful without any type of evidence.Link?

I've visited the sites, I'm looking for a link to inflammatory comments. If it's on the net, post a link. I watched a couple of their unboxing videos and quickly got tired of the schtick. Seem like cool basses, though.![]()

I didn’t disparage the owners rep, that was someone else.I've visited the sites, I'm looking for a link to inflammatory comments. If it's on the net, post a link. I watched a couple of their unboxing videos and quickly got tired of the schtick. Seem like cool basses, though.
Yeah, absolutely not checking the politics of everybody. I do business with, but I’m just curious there’s this sort of mysterious suggestion of evil with no back up floating around here.I wouldn't worry about it. Think about all the products and transactions you make with people in life. Did I have to verify that Sadowsky was a "good guy" before I purchased one of his basses? No.
my conversations with Micah at Offbeat have been nothing but positive.
Well, I got mine like a week ago. The headstock has actually been a bit of an adventure. I started another thread about the break angle because apparently I cut the strings too short so I couldn’t get enough windings to get any break angle on the low strings. I bought new strings and still have barely a break angle on the A string. Really looks like my headstock is not just straight, but bent forward… I emailed Pam and Micah yesterday, but still have not heard back.Who is cutting their bodies/making their necks since their videos are unboxing not manufacturing?
(Edit to add, not trying to be disparaging but I own a couple short/medium scale Warmoth and recognize that headstock)
Well, I’m happy to say that Micah did respond and was offering to be very helpful. I think I’ve decided to just return the bass. at this point, seems like a slightly weaker than usual piece of wood. I do love it and will probably give them another try next year.Well that's not good.
