Offical B.C. Rich Club!

For those of you with Hi-A pickups, what strings are you using? I'm still searching for the right string. I prefer a brighter tone.
Not many folks out there with Hi A

I've had a few and can attest that they have a murky sound, great set up to go with flats.

If you're looking for brightness put some Rotosounds on it

I use SIT Power Steel on my Gibson Thunderbird, which I find pretty perfect, but I didn't love them on the Bodine. I think the Power Steels are close enough to the Blue Steels. I have some others on order to try out.

FYI I would looks at Apex Cryos as they are closer to original blue steels. The new BS are well not for me, after playing them for years. I also find D’addario pro steels to be super bright as well.

I hated the Pro Steels on my Thunderbird. Too mid-scooped. But I'm curious to see if they'll work on the Bodine. I have a set of those and also the Dunlop Stainless Steel (black box) on order.

Yeah I know the Dunlops get a lot of love around here, I have been using GHS super steels on Thunderbirds and really dig them but they are not as bright as Pro Steels. More balanced across the fretboard.
Good luck!

I have a Mockingbird with the same head stock logo but I'm fairly sure it's maybe 20 years newer than your Warlock. Never found a source to decipher the serial number so don't know for sure how old it actually is. Anyone here know how to read the serial number on later reissue BCR's?
