Offical B.C. Rich Club!

Havent had a BC Rich for awhile. But I allways end up haveing one again. Just cant go long time without one. But anyway, recently got to get a pair. Why? Cause theyre mahogany body, maple bolt on necks with rosewood fretboards and satin finish back of necks. And they sound killer, well did replace the stock bridge pup on the guitair with a EMG H1 to make it killer. And they both fit in regular well padded gig bags, yes I love warlocks and beasts, and warbeast and bich. But theyre extra long length can be a hassle sometime. And both these have the bridge further from the rear of body then average. Especially important for bass since it just wears better with my fairly low slung, instrument body rear against inner leg an instrument pointing fairly upward. Them basses with bridge real close to end of body just dont fit me as well.

Anyway, my pair of extroidinarilly good, much better then most for their paltry price, and imo worth two to three times their price. Egads, Ive never seen such nicely countoured neck to body heals on anything near their price. Excellent fretwork. Bass neck isnt quite as wide as on previous BC Rich's Ive owned. Yippeee. That was a main thing that had me allways ending up trading off former BC Richs.

Anyway. My pair of BC Rich Eagles. O btw the mahognay body on the bass is very nice, equal to any mahogany body'd bass or guitar Ive owned in the past. Same for the guitar. Lightweight, rich dark detailed sound. Mahoganys my fave wood for bodies. The bass like most BC Richs does ahve a little bit of neck dive. Not bad though, just goes down to about 2oclock to 2:30oclock position.

Thanks mournblade. I like this one even better then the neck thru nj eagle that was also concidering. I think its due to the extra maple in the body for the neck thru took away some of the dark detailed rich voice all mahogany body on this ones has and better pup placement along with diff pup. The nj one was no exposed pole peices. This ones pups has more grind & crunch to it. This one doesnt need active eq. From 4-10 on tone control gives nice range of useful tone from extra dark still very articulate cruising growly voice thru brighter more lead like tone. It'll be the first passive bass Ive owned and really liked in a good 25 years.

Hey guys, this is my warlock. This was my first bass ever. I know its not anything fancy like eveyone elses bass, but i love it anyway. I just defretted it my self because i just got a nicer ibanez and i didnt want to just have this bass sitting in its case all the time so to keep it in use i made it fretless. I dont know if this is enough to get me in the club, but i really like B.C riches and once i get more money i want a really nice one like all these beauties already posted.

PauliePower....> Hi, I'm not certain but I think that might be one of the newest version of warlock before they decided to stop useing bronze series on the logo. Dean Johnson music http://www.singnplay.com/store.php Has a fair amount of those but without bronze on the logo. And it looks like, from what Ive seen. That BC Rich is switching to just their Logo rather then series name added. More like theyve done with the revenge series. This does imo mark a great improvement in build qaulity and hardware compared to some of the bronze series stuff. More like the better platinum series stuff was years ago. If yours has built qaulity equal to my eagle 1 guitar and bass, its excellent to include attention to little details.

Pup wise, bc rich stock import pups for both bass and guitar are easilly my fave with emg about the only other pups I concider useing. I'm really into crunchy growly pups rather then smooth. Lol. Add a 2-3 band active eq preamp to the basses and youve got excellent passive tone taken up a notch with lowZ output and some more tonal flexibility. Imo

I'm seriously concidering replaceing my traben with a second bc rich to go with the eagle. The Trabens great, but the sound I'm getting with the eagle (added active preamp onboard to it) and the really really good build qaulity etc plus little bit slimmer necks, makes me want to go back to exclusive BC Rich bass player like I used to be. Lol.

I'm jealoius of Lornes collection. Very nice.
Did pick up a warlock bass this morning. Diff isnt a bronze series even though just has single P pup set. Rear points are a little too long to be 1990's series something or other. Pups located further toward the neck then bronze seires and no bronze series stamped under headstock logo. Added basslines blackout 2-band eq to it. Great companion to my Eagle! I think the body is agathis or chesswood. Sound etc isnt basswood or alder. Anyway, glad to have a nice warlock bass again.

Really likes Lornes snakeskin warlock. Very nice. KInda likes the shorter rear points it has too.

O btw would like to get a bc rich club member number please. Finally finished the mods on mine. Added a simple graphic thats very subdued and hardly visible except in the right light and at right angles of view. And replaced the bridge screws with slightly thicker and good quarter inch longer ones. Since the stock ones where smaller then average. That helped create more feelable vibration thru the body. And yes, both necks are glued and bolted in. Even plugged the sink hole tops on the eagle so looks like invisibolt neck joint. Since itd didnt use neck plate, has individual holes with metal inserts for the screws. You have to look real close to see signs of where bolts are. Gives them more set like like performance without the extra brightness neck thru's would have had from extra neck maple in body. Did have to use a thin shim on warlocks neck to get slight rearward tilt wanted. But since necks all glued in well too, the shims doesnt matter.

Gave my eagle guitar the same treatment for invisibolt type appearance and more set neck type performance. But pic just shows the two basses with their simple graphic from more visible angle.
