why get it repainted???? you can get a DJ in sparkle black NOW.....you shold be able to swap necks for a minimal fee (less than a paint good job....)

I deny I have a problem......none here (RIGHT!!!)
Yea.. I'll keep everything natural. I'll just have one DJ in natural with black blocks and one with the white and binding. Right on.
I know, I'm a pain in the bum.

Slightly on topic, I recently got a black pickguard straight from lakland for my DJ4, and it doesn't fit right. When I got it on over the pickup, it wouldn't line up with the screw holes and it's actually smaller than my stock pg. I called Brian at lakland yesterdat and am waiting to hear back. This ever happen to anyone?

I've never had this with Lakland, but I bought a Sadowsky pg as a replacement, and I had to do some grinding/sanding/shaping ect, to get it right. And this was a direct replacement. ;)

My best guess is that unless it is a seriously bogus PG, and a total defect, you'll need to do some shaping to get it to fit.

Try to line up some screws, and see how it's going to fit on the pups, most likely it'll need a shave around the neck pocket. (all speculation since I haven't seen it first hand)

I just bought a tort pg for my DJ4 and Roger at Jeannie needed to know the year of my bass to make the right pickguard. Apparently they changed something starting from 2007...

Congrats Dennis...anybody out there want to do an over/under on how long it will be before Dennis wants another Lakkie? :-) These basses are addictive!!

I'm in.....I would say "want" in less than a week....not saying he will get another one in that time frame, but I will say that GAS will attack by then based on his experience...

I might just try to get my money back and keep what I have.
I have white on a natural/maple DJ and wanted to put black (the one that doesn't fit). Since I have the "clayton" on preorder, maybe I'll just keep the white.
