Now wait a minute, Mike! You're a friggin' Pens fan. And you're telling me you never saw Sid the Kid get a penalty for embellishing his first couple years?! I think he was awarded an honorary SCUBA certification because he was such an accomplished diver.
Touche'. But I do remember the Flyers winning back-to-back Cups. Of course it WAS 35 years ago...

There are some whispers that Crosby is continuing to sit out in protest to the NHL not doing enough to protect him. I don't believe it, and the guys I read so far saying it are Crosby haters anyway.

I figure he just wants to be fresh for the playoffs. He'll probably come back with about 6 games left in the regular season. That way he'll be able to shake off the rust and still have early-season-fresh legs.

Now we all know the refs don't call embellishing penalties on Crosby.
I've seen the penalty called before. Usually unsportsmanlike conduct.
Happy the Flyers won. They put together a solid 60 minutes I thought. They gave up some chances but held their ground.
That goal off the Grabovski's (sp?) noggin was a first for me. It sounded weird when it hit him and I could see he was holding his head after the horn sounded. Glad he's okay and good for him on the creative use of the visor.

Entertaining game at least in the last 10 minutes or so.

Leafs/Flyers game last night was a great game. Solid action start to finish. Both teams seemed hungry for the points for once and neither let off for very long. Brought back memories of some not-so-long-ago rivalry games between the two teams.
That one that went in off Grabovski's face shield initially had Boucher looking for a high stick no-goal call. He threw his arms up in the air really quick! Couldn't fault him for letting that one in. Both he and Reimer were playing great last night.

I'd love to catch EDM/DET tonight, but it looks like the wife has me penciled in for a movie and dinner.
Anyone keeping up with Jonas Hiller and his vertigo? Scary stuff anyway, but even more here since no one can figure out what brought it on. Then to cap it off, he feels perfectly fine off the ice. Weird........

I have a feeling it may be brought on by anxiety or an underlying condition like Menieres disease.
Definitely scary stuff.

So the same called occurred in Philly,...Enstrom for interference Briere for Unsportsmanlike Diving.
Preds play again tonight against Colorado. We've been playing really hard the last few games, hopefully the playoffs closing in has really lit a spark in the team.
I'm looking for more of the same tonight, We've had the Avs number this year, posting 5 goals in every game we've played against them. I'm hoping tonight goes the same way.
